Celebration!

Tonight we celebrated Chad's new promotion at work! In less than two weeks he will become the Web Content Coordinator for the University of Phoenix' Intranet. This is a great move for him because he'll be able to use more of his skills he developed at the Art Institute of Atlanta. He is also working on an IT degree at U of P as well, since they offer tuition waiver.

So, to celebrate, we went to Olive Garden (they have the never-ending pasta bowl promo going on right now). When we were seated at our table, Caralie was given crayons and a coloring sheet. The sheet had a drawing of a particularly famous landmark in Italy that Caralie had just seen on an episode of Wonder Pets. I asked her what it was called and she confidently replied, "The Leaning Tower of Liberty." Oh, so close!

Stuffed from all that pasta!

After eating, Chad wanted to stop at Best Buy to look at laptops. He's pining for one to use for school. One of the Apple laptops on display had PhotoBooth - a program that allows you to mess around with your photos. We took a couple of fun shots:

Caralie and Chad...why the long face?

Wednesday was the day we actually found out about the promotion. That night we went to Coldstone. Caralie ordered cotton candy ice cream (because it was blue) with gummy bears. If any of you have put gummy bears on your ice cream you know what happens to those little guys...they get really hard. Watching her trying to chew those little bears while eating her ice cream was hilarious. It reminded me of those videos where someone gives a dog a spoonful of peanut butter. Her jaws were working over time.

Save me from myself!

We are so happy about this new job for Chad - it gives us an excuse to eat out! But, seriously, we know this job is an answer to our prayers. Caralie has been praying for Daddy to get a "good job" for months now, even though he had a good job. Now we know that she was inspired to aspire higher! The pay increase will certainly come in handy, too. Thank you, Heavenly Father!
