There are no answers for these things they do, although I must say he isn't completely evil or you would have picked a much worse dog house. :)
Because although he may love you, he loves himself much more so therefore his love for himself always trumps his love for you. Sorry, that's a man for you.
The way to a man's heart is through the food pyraimid.
Because he'll go to the store and buy you 3 bags of granola to get out of the dog house!
