Bean Bags

I follow a fantastic blog called Craft Hope. They collaborate with charities to find ways for crafters to help those in need. Recently they had a project for knitters to make scarves for former foster children that have outgrown the system. Other projects included sock monkeys for burn victims and quilts for homeless children.

Their current project is to make educational bean bags for orphanages in Liberia.

The bean bag sets needed include alphabet, colors, shapes, and numbers. An example is shown below:


This is one of the simplest sewing projects you can make. I've already decided to make at least one set with my daughter. Please visit this link to read all about the project and it's guidelines. There are even tutorials listed if you need directions. The deadline is May 15th.
