Georgia part II

Heather, Nani, Caralie, and I spent a Saturday traveling through Cleveland and Helen, Georgia. Cleveland is the home of the Babyland General Hospital where the original Cabbage Patch Kids are born:

They have cute displays of Cabbage Patch Kids throughout the hospital including a school house:

Kids eating lunch...

...riding the bus...

...and playing on the playground.

Here's Heather in front of one of the "nurseries:"

And more Kids:

Here is the official Cabbage Patch:

This is where Mother Cabbages give birth. Bunnybees and crystals float around and pollinate the cabbages. Every 30 minutes or so an LPN (licensed patch nurse) is called to help with a delivery. You can watch as she gives the cabbage a dose of Imagicillin and some TLC, assists in the birth, and then the audience gets to name the new Cabbage Patch baby. If you have kids and live in or visit Georgia, you should go! They are moving into a larger building this year, so check their website for updates.

After Cleveland we headed to Helen, which is a mock alpine town in North Georgia:

They have cute shops (including a Christmas shop where it's Christmas year round) and yummy eats including three candy/fudge shops. We first stopped at the glassblower's where Caralie became mesmerized:

She stood there for at least 20 minutes and would have stayed longer if the rest of us hadn't made her move on. Here's hopin' she doesn't turn into a pyro.

Caralie tried on some princessy bling...

...and got a peanut-covered candy apple.
